NTV airs Bangla dubbed Kurulus Osman

Private television channel NTV began airing Bangla dubbed popular Turkish drama series ‘Kurulus Osman’ from Wednesday. The series will be aired every week from Wednesday to Sunday at 9:00pm.

A compiled mega episode of the series will be aired every Friday at 2:30pm.

‘Kurulus Osman’ series narrates the story of a group of people from a small village in Anatolia, known as the Kayi tribe. Artugrul, the son of Suleiman the Magnificent, became the leader of the tribe which was being oppressed by the Byzantine Empire and the Mongols.

Artugrul laid the foundation of the Ottoman Empire.

His son Uthman took the initiative to complete his father’s unfinished work. The story of the series continues with how he built the Ottoman Empire.

The TV show includes Osman Gazi’s internal and external struggles and how he establishes and controls the Ottoman Empire. It portrays his struggles against Byzantium and the Mongol Ilkhanate and how he was able to secure independence from the Sultanate of Rum to establish a sovereign state that would stand up to the Byzantine and Mongol Empires and would honour the Turks.

The character of Osman faces many enemies and traitors in his quest and the show illustrates how he was able to overcome these obstacles and fulfil his mission with the help of his loyal companions, family, and friends.

According to NTV, the Bengali dubbing of ‘Kurulus Osman’ series has already been completed. More than 43 voice artistes have worked in it.
